The Secret Is Finally Revealed

Okay, well not really. If you are a family member, friend, or follow me on Facebook you already know!

If not, well then good b/c I get to surprise somebody!

I made 12 resolutions this year. Number 12 being a secret. But it is finally ready to reveal....

Yes, that very blurry photo is a picture of our baby #4!

We are so excited and can't wait for he or she to join our family.

Yes boy/girl polls have already been taken and we've pretty much picked out baby names.

This photo was taken a few weeks ago. I am due September 27th.

So I still have a long ways to go.

I could find out next month what we are having. But......

We will be on vacation then. :(

So it looks like the first week in May we will be having a gender reveal party!!!

Other then baby news we've been pretty busy around here.

Between homeschooling, cleaning, the regular duties of a mother and a wife, and being sick for the first time ever through a pregnancy. We've also been juggling our homeschool group, field trips, our moms group, library story times, church 3 times a week, dance class, and basketball practice. Plus I handle our nursery schedule at church,  new children sign in's, and help teach the 1-2 graders Wednesday evenings. On top of my hubby working tons of hours, teaching the youth boys Sunday School, practicing for choir, and coaching basketball. Then we still need to make time for family events, birthdays, and we just had guests visiting us from NJ that left yesterday.

The list of our commitments just makes me stressed. I feel like I never have time to work on projects that I enjoy, and planning family activities is extremely hard with our hectic schedule.

So we came up with a plan. We are rearranging our priorities, cutting some of our commitments, and hiring a MAID

{Insert happy dance here}

Okay, well the maids my sister but it still counts.

She'll be coming over bi-weekly to do some deep cleaning.

It makes me giddy just thinking of the hours it will save me.

And tomorrow we are having a date night.

I feel like I hit the lottery.

A date night and a maid.

So moral of this story.

A supermom would handle it all, never complain, and you would never know how stressed she is.

In my *perfect* world, I am going to change whats not working for our family to give us a less stressed and more relaxed life.

So what do you think. Any other ideas that could help slow down the hectic lives of families now a days?

Oh and we have 4 vacations planned between now and July 4th. I think that will really help!

  1. I think having a maid will help alot, I always go back to thinking about the old saying it takes a village to raise a child but I think now a days society likes to make us feel that we have to do it all and be happy about it! I know church is important but maybe cutting down to two days wouldnt be so bad...I hope this helps you out!

  2. Congrats. Extra help is always handy. May God continue to bless you and your growing family.

  3. I want a maid! If you can squeeze another bow tutorial it would be awesome! Congrats!
