Water Theme Birthday Party!

We had a blast this weekend. My oldest, Ethan, turned 6!

We celebrated with a water party. After last years dino party... digging in the dirt in May, in Florida did not sound like a good idea. So water it was!

Water balloons, water guns, water slide, pool, kiddie pools, plus a car wash! It couldn't have turned out any better.

My favorite part of the party was the car wash that my hubby built! He ran to Lowe's Friday evening. Came home and put it all together at 8pm!

The kids had a blast riding scooters & trikes through it.

Best part is we have it all summer to play in now!

All the water toys kept the kids busy for hours. The party started at 2pm and the last guests didn't leave until 10:30pm. Now that's my kind of party!

I kept it easy and light on the food. I ordered pizza from a local cafe. Made chocolate frozen bananas, cut up some watermelon, and served chips.

Instead of cupcakes or cake we did little jello cups filled with a gummy shark. Found the idea on pinterest of course. ;)

Ethan LOVED his party. And I love how this photo captured his excited expression.

So cute!

Happy 6th Birthday Ethan!!!

His favorite gift from mommy and daddy was his Skylanders game for the Wii. Is it sad that I really like this game too???

I love the excitement at this age when they get exactly what they were hoping for.... Lego's, Lego's, Lego's!

We also took him to Disney by himself for a special day the weekend before his bday. He got to ride all the big kid rides, and roller coasters for the first time. Plus we didn't have to wait in any lines to meet a princess!

Afterwards we enjoyed dinner at Trex Cafe before we went home. Love that place!

I love the decor here!

Digging for fossils after dinner.

And no little boys special day would be complete without a stop at the Lego store in downtown Disney!

It's bittersweet seeing him growing up. He's not my little baby anymore. But I really am enjoying this new season in life with him.
